Having only one value for the wind calculation is not practical since cross country flight can cross a variety of regions, see Metform 214.

Could the wind be entered from a right click on a route leg?

Double-click on a route leg to view its properties and change the wind for that leg. The box at the top is a convenience for those routes where it's practical to only enter one wind value.

A suggestion relating to winds - an option to stop the entries in the Plog relating to wind (Wind, Hdg, GS and Time) being filled in.

I often plan my routes a day before flying and will print out the plog at home (where I have a printer). However, I do not know what the wind will be when I fly tomorrow. This doesn't matter as I may have a laptop with me at the airfield in which to feed in the actual wind and get it to do all the calculations I will need. However, I don't have a printer with me at the airfield to print a new plog.

What would be great would be for the plog I print the day before to have all, the Trk, Dist, radio data etc in place and blanks in the Wind, Hdg, GS and Time columns. I can then fill these blanks in on the day using the most up-to-date wind.

It would be "a less-is-more" kind of thing in relation to printed plogs.

Bristol, I'm pleased to say that this feature has been added ready for the next release. You can now stop wind calculations from being filled in on the PLOG.
